I have discovered I share with my boyfriend an indecent fanboyish love of the 2B pencil. Never again will I make grey scratches with a miserly HB!- well, unless the picture calls for it, that is. This is serious advise to all those still using an HB as their only pencil: stop. It's not good for you. Go out and get yourself a 2B. You'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Drawn for Dark in the 100 challenge. 2B for just about everything, 4B for the dress and collar, a photo of the girl in the recent adverts for Resistance: Fall of Man adverts for reference. (It's an ace campaign that I've only seen in American comics so far.) Scanned in greyscale.

Fucking creepy. Nice job! The tiny tiny eyes are very unnerving. And those teeth!

Onen hag oll

Paint up your face little doll,
Tonight we're going out,
I want everyone else to see
Your pretty crimson pout...

Thanks man. I spent a couple of hours on this, which is much longer than anything else in my gallery and though it's not a brilliant scan I think (hope) it shows.

And yeah... the teeth. What can I say? I adore the 'creepy kid' genre. :D

It might be the scan, but I think the picture might benefit from a little definition around the edges of the white shoulders and the lighter top section of the hair, just to bring it away from the page background.
Maybe the same thing along the edge of the nose as well might make the face seem a little less flat.

Idk why but I this piece is interesting. I like how when you focus at the eyes it looks sad but then it's actually a "monster". Well done!
